How much time should you leave between the medical visit and application?

The medical receipt is valid for three months after a visit with a single physician and six months after a local medical commission visit. Arrange to file the category B application before the applicable deadline and according to UMC appointment availability.

The window depends on the type of visit

For a licence application, the electronic medical certificate has an administrative validity period separate from the duration of any licence you may receive. MIT specifies three months after a visit by a single physician and six months after a visit to a local medical commission. Count from the visit and receipt date, not from when you began collecting documents.

As soon as you receive the receipt, note the deadline and check that it correctly identifies the doctor and type of visit. If further checks or a commission review are required, the final medical assessment may follow a different path: do not count from the initial booking. If the document will expire before you can file, ask the doctor or UMC what update is needed rather than submitting an out-of-date certificate.

Coordinate appointments and the application

Before booking the medical visit, check MIT instructions and ask the UMC how to file the application: counter service, online services and availability vary. If the office accepts appointments, book with some time before the medical deadline and check which payments must be made first. A visit too early may expire while you wait to file; one at the last minute may leave no time to add missing documents.

For example, after a single-physician visit on 10 April, the receipt is usable within the three-month window specified by MIT. Refer to the stated deadline and ask the office how it counts the final day. Prepare your identity document, tax code, photo and required receipts in advance so you can file when your appointment arrives. Keep a copy of the certificate and submission receipt. If the UMC date falls after the validity window, contact the office before booking or paying for another medical appointment.
