Check the version and enter your details
TT2112 is the form used to apply for a driving licence, including category B. Download the current version from MIT or the Portale dell’automobilista, or collect it from the motor vehicle office (UMC). Do not rely on an old copy saved in notes or an undated form. Before filling it in, confirm that the request is for category B and that the office handling your application accepts that version.
Enter your name, date and place of birth, tax code and contact details as they appear in your documents. Select the correct request and complete only the fields that apply to you, following the printed instructions. Avoid unnecessary abbreviations, unclear corrections and inconsistent entries. A mismatch in the tax code or requested category may mean the application must be corrected before it can proceed.
Signing and attaching the documents
Sign in the fields marked for the applicant, using a signature consistent with your identity document. Do not sign in a place reserved for the counter, and do not leave a field blank if the form marks it as required. For a minor applicant, MIT specifies a parent or guardian signature; category B applicants are normally adults, but follow the form instructions for the actual case.
The application is only one part of the process. For category B, MIT also lists identity documents, medical-fitness documentation, tax-code evidence and receipts for required payments; some items are needed when booking the practical test.
